B&L markings on each lens (side edge of each lens) also confirm authenticity of Vintage G15 lenses.
the B&L (Bausch & Lomb) markings are small, subtle & sand-etched directly onto the outer edge of each lens. They are usually found on the upper outer corners (temporal sides) of both the left and right lenses.
They consist of the letters \"BL\" They are meant to be discreet and are often hard to see without angling the glasses in the light, appearing as tiny, light-gray engravings.
Pre-1999 Era: These markings identify the sunglasses as authentic, pre-1999, American-made Ray-Bans, before Bausch & Lomb sold the brand to Luxottica.
